Andrus Island is remote and unaccessible to the public serving as wildlife habitat.

Gifts of Land and Conservation Restrictions

There are many ways landowners can direct the preservation of their land other than by giving it outright to the Conservation Trust.

For example, they may leave it to the Trust in their wills, may donate it and lease it back, give it in small parcels over a period of time, grant an easement, or place a conservation restriction or deed restriction on their property.

CCT Directors are pleased to assist would-be donors and their attorneys in working out arrangemetns that are most suitable to donors.

However, if you are interested in learning more about how to protect your property, preserve its natural resource values, and generate tax advantages for you and your family, you should discuss your options with your legal and financial advisors.

For more information on ways in which you can protect your land, see page 5 of the 2006 CCT Newsletter.
